The 2004 Ipsum reminds me of some of the very good Colombards that used to emerge from California . A blend of 60% Verdejo and 40% Viura, it offers up citrusy grapefruit and anise seed­like aromas, a fresh, lively mid­palate, light body, and loads of fruit. Like its siblings, it is all tank­fermented and aged, and is best drunk in the first year following bottling.
