One of the finest Spanish 2002s I tasted, the 2002 L'Avi Arrufi is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Syrah, and Tempranillo. A fragrant perfume of white flowers, figs, plums, mocha, and black currants soars from the glass of this ripe, rich, medium to fullbodied wine with beautiful integration of wood, acidity, tannin, and alcohol. It is a remarkable achievement for this difficult vintage.
