A blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Carignan, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon,
the 2001 Vall de Berrvs boasts a dense purple color as well
as a heady perfume of kirsch liqueur and licorice. Layered,
full-bodied, pure, and already accessible, it will last another
7-8 years. It reminded me of a modern-styled southern French
Cotes de Rhone.
